Home Renovation, Part 3

One of the most dramatic rooms is the master bedroom. Thanks, IKEA!

The panel curtains and rod did come from the Swedish superstore. A iron-on hem still needs to be attached.
The ceiling fan was bright white, almost blue-white. We replaced it with a Curacao fan, a bamboo weave look. Every time we move we think about limiting ourselves to one "Asian" room, but then the whole house becomes "Asian" quickly.

"Foreclosure beige" in the master bedroom.

We repainted with "Smokey Blue" paint and "Creme Brulee" trim. Bamboo blinds on the windows add to the Asian look and match the fan. You can see the master bath, which also has the bamboo blinds that let some light and view in.

The Singapore bed set with Ikea lamps and Ikea comforters on the bed. I elevated the headboard 10" because it was swallowed by the mattress and comforters, and the ledge on the back wouldn't let you sit up comfortably to watch TV or work on dissertations in bed.

Until we have a dresser/armoire, this stand holds a few extra clothes and a beetle-wing candle from Thailand.
