Stop #5: Myrtle Beach

When we stepped into the condo at the beach, we had a big suprise: flood-water and mildew! In all, we spent almost an entire week cleaning the place after the hot water heater burst (vacuuming water, removing carpet padding, moving furniture, sanitizing, and sterilizing) and one week redecorating it to sell (picking out new carpet and removing the old carpet, repainting four rooms completely, replacing rotten wood, moving all the furniture into the kitchen and bathrooms, and showing the place to perspective buyers). So our two weeks of sunny Southern beach vacation quickly became the hardest two weeks of manual labor in our lives! Have no fear though, we were compensated well by the owner (who happens to be my father) and now we have enough money to pay for air conditioning in Evanston!
